Com o fim de um jejum de 52 anos no esporte, os torcedores da cidade de Cleveland se aglomeraram no aeroporto para receber os heróis do basquete no título na NBA. A expectativa era ver de perto astros como LeBron James, Kyrie Irving e outros que ajudaram o Cavaliers a vencer o Golden State Warriors no sétimo jogo da série, na noite deste domingo.

Feliz da vida, LeBron foi o grande nome das finais (tanto que foi eleito o MVP, jogador mais valioso da decisão) e desceu do avião segurando o troféu ao som da música "We Are the Champions", do Queen. Ele também usava uma camiseta com a inscrição "Ultimate Warrior", talvez até por provocação aos rivais.

Antes do desembarque, os jogadores fizeram muita festa nos vestiários em Oakland e, alguns deles, ainda foram para Las Vegas comemorar. Enquanto isso, em Cleveland, os torcedores foram às ruas e festejaram bastante. Tanto que a polícia precisou fazer algumas detenções na madrugada.

Nesta quarta-feira, os jogadores do Cleveland Cavaliers vão desfilar pela cidade em celebração pelo título, numa comemoração para a qual vários moradores da cidade esperaram por muito tempo.
