Taliban Afghan invades and kills 5 court after vowing revenge for executions

KABUL (Reuters) - Taliban insurgents stormed a court in the Afghan city of Ghazni on Wednesday, facing police for at least one hour in an attack in which 10 people died, including all five militants, police said.

The attack came days after the Taliban, fighting to overthrow the government of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, have sworn revenge for the execution of six group of prisoners last month - part of a safety margin in retaliation for a suicide bombing in April that caused 64 deaths in the capital Kabul.

The action began when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the court entrance gate and four other attackers made their way by force, triggering a bout an hour with the police, said the head of the corporation in the city, Aminullah Amarkhil.

"Four civilians visitors and a policeman were killed in the attack, but our forces were on alert and then killed the other suicide shots," he said. The building of the court, which is 150 kilometers from Kabul, was damaged, he said.
